My dealer in illinois told us that under the plastic the predator and sportsman 90 were the same, and i looked pretty hard and i think he's right. after seeing the racers on sport quads my kid chose the predator because of its looks, 6 yr.old around 60 lbs, he may not be a racer but he sure looks like one

 

They are both good ATV's. But I would go with the Sportsman 90 to match yours.

 

My parent's got my 4 year old son a 90 sportsman and he loves it I have a DS650 and my husband has a Banshee and he follows us and can go up most of the hills I like the stability his cousins have a Kaesea but they don't do half the stuff he will.

 

I kinda did the same thing ... Last December I bought my son (9 y/o) a '03 SP 90 and I got the '03 SP 400 ... the sp 90 has been a great bike ..although yesterday on the Hatfield and McCoy trails the front left brakes kinda went out ....still looking into it .... I did notice, as Sue did ... the rear hubs are LOOSE ... I could turn the castellated nut with my fingers .... Overall it's been a great bike.
