Anyone have an idea how quick these things go with no mods?

They'll go a heck of a lot faster than 30 with mods... stock it should hit close to that.

Our Scrambler 50 will do 33+ MPH with an adult on it with mods.

I'd say probably in the 40+ MPH range depending on what you do to it.

What mods would you recommend which are not to expensive.

Your biggest bang will be a pipe.. about $200-250
then an air filter like an Uni or K&N.. About $20
Maybe a Smaller Rear Sprocket... about $30
I don't know about the CDI limiting that quad, but we replaced ours with an older model CDI without a rev limiter, and it really opened it up.. about $25 on ebay

If you check out the video clip in my signature, I have the quad limited to 26MPH... When I put on the 27T rear sprocket, we lose some take off, but have a real fast top end.
