LT80 carb. help now!
First off i want to thank "LT80" for helping me get my clutch problems figured out, I removed the front clutch and it was bone dry, all the rollers were good so i packed it with high temp grease and it works fine! BUT.... my speed was really slow, so i pulled the carb. apart and figured a kit was in order, i purchased a kit, cleaned the carb. installed the kit, when i fired it up it sounded and acted alot better but the idle was high so i adjusted the idle. Now it wont run unless the chock is pulled and you have to tickle the throttle to keep it running, i'm sure the carb. is secured properly and i believe the cable is adjusted properly, i am running the UNI filter if that matters i know it flows more air. I thought i saw a similiar post like this but couldn't find it. Again any help would be greatly appreciated!

If your carb still has the rubber tube that slides over the main jet and connects it to the bottom of the float bowl, there is a small hole where the tube connects to the bowl that gets clogged and will cause that problem, also make sure that the air vent tube that goes back to the tank is working or fuel flow from the tank will be compromised, as LT80 said there are a lot of little holes in these carbs that can clog easily, hope this helps,Darrin
