Changing Sprockets for a Predator 90
#1
Was wondering if there are any after market sprockets out there that would increase the top end speed for a predator 90.
If there are what are the best ones to go for and what am i likely to pay?

I got sprockets for our Scrambler 50 from www.miniatvparts.com, but any of the mini-quad shops should be able to get them for you... I don't know brand or price, but they all seem to be the same... I've got a 27T, but they make them in quite a few sizes.

I really couldn't tell ya, but the larger the front and/or smaller the back, the more speed at a lose of power. The larger the back and the smaller the front, more power and less speed.
It really depends on the power your quads putting out, the mods on it, teh rider, teh track style, etc.

I've read the most common sprocket upgrades on a Pred-90 unit is:
- Leave the front sprocket "as is".
- Change back sprocket to 28 teeth.
If you do sprocket changes or change their factory chain, some also recommend replacing the factory chain "DID Roller chain". This chain requires less oiling.
To obtain prices on sprocket upgrades, many people contact one of the following:

http://www.dirtrides.com
http://www.miniquadracing.com
http://www.trinityracing.com
http://www.hi-pointmotorsports.com
http://www.hetrickracing.com
http://www.miniatvparts.com
http://www.hardrockmotorsports.com
http://www.ebay.com/ -> search for ATV
* Good for things you know will work with your package. For example, K&D Filters, etc.
Hope this helps...
