Default 2 or 4 stroke

When it comes to getting a little 90cc for my kids. Would it be better getting a 4 stroke or a 2 stroke. I'm thinking that there would be more power with a 2 stroke. But less noise with a 4. Any other differences that could help make up my mind. I'm still thinking about getting that pred 90. Wider stance, fan cooled over all look. But looking at artic cat. That green one (4 stroke) doesn't look all that bad. Although I cant find a web sight no where to get a price on it. If anybody knows what the 90cc artic cats or running cost wise, both 2 and 4 stroke. That would help out alot. Also if anybody has anything to say about the 4 stroke 90cc. That would be great. Thanks. only 38 days till christmas morning. So not as much time as I thought I had to make up my mind and get it. Oh. He will be riding on trails and really never any sand.

I don't have any experience with the 4 stroke 90s but I can say that our two stroker Viper is quite quiet.I think this will depend on the individual brands muffler more than a two stroke VS 4 stroke thing.I priced the bombardier DS90 and the 4 stroker was $3199 VS $2899 for the 2 stroke up here in Canada. The 4 stroke was also a semi automatic shift which my son was not ready for.It was also not fan cooled.

A DRR 90GT will run about $2300 at most dealers. I think the Cat will be about $200 more. Same machine. They are nice machines.

Hi we purchased an Eton Viper this past sept and are happy with it. My son is 7 and enjoys the lights/horn etc as much as the quad itself. The quad is relatively quiet but as a two stroke has enough motor to climb some of the big hills at our track here in Calgary and race with some of the little bikes. An 03 Eton is $2999.00 in Alberta which includes everything. Darn good value if you compare it to the competition. Polaris 3200/Yamaha 2800/Bombardier 2700/Artic Cat 2900-All which do not include set up fees.

Thanks guys for all your help.
I've decided to go with the pred 90. My dealer will let me have the troy lee edition for $2199. No set up fee or such. I just like the way it fits my kids. I called one dealer yesterday and he said he doesn't sell them cause there crap. Not made by polaris etc. Well my dealer was saying that there okay etc. But suggested the dinli. Well my kids have seen the pred and like it. So if they dont like it, they want ride it as much. Heres hoping I made a good decision. We'll find out in 37 days when they open it for christmas.

You'll be happy with your choice, I've had a Scrambler 90 for a year and a half and my son has ridden it to death. Haven't had one problem with it. Oh yeah, I ride it as much as him, so it can handle quite a bit of abuse Happy riding.
