I am intrested in bringing my 11 year old over to a race or 2, he rides a 300ex, would that put him in the amature class? I am lookin for tracks that will offer kids his age, not on mini's, a class to run in. Which track would be a good one to go to? Thanks

I think he will have to run with the amatures. I belive there will be a lot of quads in that class. They will end up having to split it up I would think. Its hard to say without knowing how many will show up. Last year at there first race there were over 20 quads there 1st race all in one class. The pros dominated the class the whole series. A few months later the SRMA put on an arena cross series and gave us a pro class with 150% pay back that usually had about 6/7 quads. An amature class which had about 10 to 15 quads and a mini quad class wich usually has 8 to 10 quads in it.I did mention a sport class to them for the 300ex,250ex,blaster and the kaw/suz 250 quads and they said they would have to see what shows up.Last weekend six showed up on 250ex's and blasters at the Hancock,Ms AX and they gave them a class. This was not the same organisation though.

Id say find as many people as you can for that class and bring them to there 1st race. The more people the easyer it will be to convince them to have that class.

Sounds good, thanks for the info. My son raced at the arena fri & sat nite, he was the one on the 300 with a black front fender. He still needs experience with racing side by side, also was having a problem with it cutting out on him, but he enjoyed himself. He raced at Rock Hill in Carnes, MS, but he had to run with the open quads, of course he was a bit out classed, but he enjoys it. I just want to find a track or tracks that will run a class for his age. With the good turn out for the class they opened at the arena, hopefully when next season kicks off in Jan, we will have enough kids intrested. Thanks

Did they run the 50's with the 90's that night?

Which race should I try to get him to, I see you have several listed for Jan. The classes that you listed, are they the same for all the tracks?

Yes they ran the 50 and 90's together that race. We are going to try and run all the races because its a points championship series.

Yeah, he is still learning how to be aggressive on the track, & it didn't help his ride was cutting out on him, but hopefully I have that problem solved. I hope to get over to a couple of the LA races, sounds like a great time. A small group of us are going to the Fire Tower practice track sat. you ought to bring your son out to ride. It is always good to see atv out there, usually there is just a bunch of bikes & a couple quads. We plan on goin around 1, drop me a line if intrested. Later
