Suzuki lt50a Help with running
#1
Hello I did some of the mods for this bike. Removed restrictors both intake and exhaust. Ported the intake a little bit . Removed the stacked jet. and drilled holes in air cover. The bike now runs great and has enough power for my son. However after a while it just dies and I cant get it started till it cools. Does anybody know if I now Have to Run a cooler plug it has the stock (4) in it right now. or is it possible that it still is needing more fuel. This is only happening after about 45 minutes of riding after it cools it starts again but will only stay running for another 10-15 minutes. I also kept the stock 55 main in. The plug looks great to me it looks a little dry. Coco brown. If anyone can please help it would be appreciative. Mike

Start with a B5ES plug, the stock BP4ES is waaay hot.
With the airbox holes, you may be running lean at certain throttle positions, try raising the needle a notch. I also run the bike on prime only, using the on setting as off.
The stock exhaust port is so small that it's hard to jet the bike, though you may need to step up to a 60 main. I'd suggest using Motul 600 injector oil to keep the carbon build up to a minimum.
