I got my son a viper 50 for xmas. I want to find out if anybody sells an ajstable rev limiter for these. I know about the green wire but don't want to cut it. He is just starting out on a quad and the current speed is good but the limiter is set so low on this thing that no matter what you are against it.

Will a cdi from a 90 work ?

I'm pretty sure the 90 cdi box is the same(green wire limiter). Its not adjustable its either on or off.Thats why it has an adjustable throttle.Maybe cut the wire and then readjust the throttle limiter?I'm not clear on exactly what your saying the problem is.
