SPROKET COMBINATION FOR LT 80
Go up 5 teeth on a front sprocket eh?? I don't think thats correct.
Lets just say your bike is stock. Stock LT's are a low end machine.I agree that a bigger front can and should be used. Going from a 10 to a 12 front would be a big jump, but I feel it may handle it.
If your machine is modded. Modding will pick up rpm's and decrease bottom end. Stock gearing is usually used with smaller tires.
I switch to #428 sprockets and use #40 chain. (they fit fine)There are 1/2 links for #40 chain and it seems to last fine.
You would then need 13/14 front and a 26 rear for sprockets.

SPROKET COMBINATION FOR LT 80
the reason i said that is i have a fully ported motor with a 20 mil carb and a fully modded clutch. i bought a 12t front but could not make a chain to make it fit. so i left the stock one on it. the first moto i thought she was going to blow the motor up, we were on a big track so she was tapped out. between moto's a dad that his kids back up bike is a lt gaveme a 15t and chain and i put that on there and she was sleeping on the start but still pulled a second place holeshot, mainly cause the start was so long and she could caring that much speed into the corner.
