You could take .045, but that would be about it without rechambering. It would take alot of sanding to get that much off. If my memory serves me correctly, the Lt50 has about .125 or more of clearance in stock form. It has been quite awhile since I have been inside that motor. I would say, try the .02, and you will see a difference.
