In skydiving we put a lot of thought and study into skydive accidents - whether in or out of the airplane. Learning from the mistakes that lead to fatality is one way to avoid doing the same wrong things.
It's not to much of a leap to accept the size and power of the quad may have been more than the girl could handle. It was outside of recommendations but lets not start that debate all over again - the results speak for themselves here. And yes - Dad might have been able to intervene but its likely not realistic for someone to watch for hours upon hours of making laps on the back yard track.
In regards to wearing a helmet - get over it. We live with imposed safety rules every day. Seat belt laws,. life vests in boats, staying seated in airplanes, hard hats in construction areas and speed limits. Quit bounding your chest - I watch tough guys trying to be cool for the girls all the time and no one is impressed when they bounce and go off in a ambulance.. Its just another statistic against the sport.

Yeah I was pounding my chest. I said I wear a helmet. I wear a seatbelt. This is not about pride.
I guess it's ok to steal money from someone who wouldnt miss it right? I mean it's not hurting anyone and the money could help the thief right?
It's a principal. You don't allow people to steal penny candy because of the principal, not because of the cost.
Don't tell me what to do as long as I'm not hurting you or anyone else in the process. It's a dangerous road to go down. When that liberty is something you do, your story will change. I shouldnt have to explain this to anyone who remembers what happened to 3 wheelers.
