Default Oil injector question

This might be a dumb question but, here goes anyhow. Is there an adjustment on the oil injection on a lt80. My sons runs really good right now will do about 40 mph and climbs some fairly impressive hills. compared to the stock ones I have seen. His has a FMf pipe and silencer and I don't think much else. Only problem is that it puts so much oil in the fuel that it covers the pipe with oil that drips out the end of the exhaust. i know the best answer is to probably just take the stupid thing off, but the convience and not knowing how long he will stay on this quad he is growing like a weed. Keeps me from making to many more mods just yet. I would think it will run better too if I can reduce the amount of oil. any suggestions?

Default Oil injector question

My sons bike had his removed before i even owned it. My personal opinion is that I don't like to have to rely on one. If you want the no doubt about it answer then contact LT80 on this forum, He is THE GURU OF LT 80S.

I wonder if it's the oil injection or if you could be running a little rich. Did you re-jet?

My electric choke gave me problems. I also wonder if the "drip" could be from the choke staying closed too long and the fuel not burning off like it should?

Just a thought.

The stock injector is made to pump a "more than safe" amount of oil into the carb. Jetting will not effect it.
I recomend just removing the lil black piece that drives the pump (you have to remove the clutch cover) and plug the line to the carb with a toothpick.
Get a good oil and mix it at their recommendations.
You'll find that it may still drip a lil,but will definetly be better.

Who said jetting affects oil injection?

I just meant if you are running too rich you will end up with a lot of unburned fuel in your tail pipe.
