Default mod quad frame question

I thought i keard that some people have been using Blaster frames to build mod quads for kids like a 70 mod. I realizze there may be some motor mount changes to make but is this true or is the frame to heavy and are there ways to make it longer to get it closer to the groung. Any help would be appreciated.

Thnx for your reply, every thing i have found to this point in the custom frame world has been crazy priced, in the thousands just for a frame. Thats what i want to do is put a 65 motor and build a quad for my son who has outgrown his lem. It is fast enough just to small. If any one else has any more info it would be greatly appreciated. Thnx

Yes the blaster/300ex frame things have been tried. I personally have never seen anything less than a 80cc in one tho.
It's a fun thing to make, but if competition is your goal, you will soon find out it's way to heavy.
Local circiuts hate them as well and make them run with the big quads.

OK THEN, Where are some places to talk to or to look at mod frames that will work, are their any sites or should the normal folk in the world stick to the production clas and leave the mod class to the money folks.

Default mod quad frame question

There are ppl out there that wil make you one. 60 or 80.
Got 12k++++????????? Maybe a used one for 8k..
It truely is a money class.
The basics::
shocks=2k
frame=2500.
radiator=500
swingarm/carrier=1k
a-arms=600
the titanium axel=1k
spindles/brakes/hoses/brake cylinders/calipers/sprockets/chain=1k
oh yea, you need a bike for the motor and electronics=3k (65cc) 5k for a cr80
steering stem/bars/other controls/dampner=750
There is the 12k and you need a hand made gas tank,plastic,a seat,nerfs,tires,wheels and the bolts for it all.,,whew!
They sure are fun to watch and the ppl that race em are super friendly, but I couldn't do it.
