Default Oil in carb-Viper 90

I was trying to start jr's Viper 90 and it would not start. It just turned over and over. I checked the plug, looked good and had spark. Check the fuel and it was flowing to the carb. I was a little puzzled because this thing is only 6 months old. I opened the drain on the bottom of the carb to see if the bowl had fuel and oil came out. It drained it for a bit and then I turned the gas on and let it drain through also. Tightnened the drain, turned the gas on and it fired right up!

Where's the oil coming from? The injector system I'm sure but how? I never had a motor do this before.. It has been hard to start and smoked a bit before and this was probably happening at that time too. Anybody have this happen to you?

Some dealers add oil to the gas when they sell the fourwheeler, and if the quad sits for a while some of the gas evaporates leaving the heavier parts of the gas and oil if it was added. This also happens in the gas tank as well.

We've run quite a few tank fulls through this motor and I don't think that any oil would be left over if that happened. I think that somehow oil from the injector system is running into the carb.

Hotshot- What would the adjustment screw have to do with oil getting into the carb as it's sitting for a couple of weeks? I would understand if it was not running correctly but it runs fine

Your oil injection runs off a pump which is gear driven off the right side of the crank.
If the quad is not running, oil is not moving. You may check what brand
of injector oil your using. Some oils will separate from the fuel when
sitting still for any time.

it is Yamaha oil injector oil. I've been around two stokes for over 35 years and never have seen this one
