Default 50cc or 90cc

I am looking for a new quad for my son who is 7. He currently has the Raptor 50 but has quickly outgrown this quads speed and power. Size-wise it is perfect for him. I do not mind staying with a 50cc but I want to find him something that he will out grow in 2 months again. He rides mainly on a friends mx track with jumps so I want something he can gradually learn to jump. What would be my best option in an atv that has power and speed stock and can be upgraded as his skill level improves? A 90cc is not out of the question, but if he decides he likes racing can he race a 90cc? I have been looking at the DRR but not sure of this quads stock speed and power.

I think most of the taiwanese cvt transmissioned atvs are pretty close in speed and power. You have the choice of buying a full size 50cc machine and modifying it or maybe starting with a 70cc machine like the viper 70.There is lots of aftermarket stuff available for the two stroke engines and most of the popular brands have tons of suspension parts available as well.As for racing you would have to check your local tracks rules. One word of warning though.I bought my son a 90cc machine and then we got into racing (he is only 6 this year). He handles the bike very well and its great for trail riding but most of the kids riding 90s are way above his speed level when it comes to racing. This has actually backfired for us and made him run slower than ever as he got discouraged at coming in last all the time.We are currently looking to take a step backwards and start over on a 50cc for the racing scene.
