Default 90cc top speeds

Out of curiosity, I would like to know the top speeds for stock 90cc machines. The DS 90 is said to have factory restrctions limiting it to 15mph. Is this the norm?

our Predator 90 topped out at 32 mph with the Jumper removed. With it in I would say it went about 15mph.

I think it is pretty much the norm except the Kasea which has no limiter..I think. I'm sure someone will come on and add more.

On a mini-Quad's CDI, some brands have a jumper, some brands have a wire and some brands have a dial. The Pred-90 brand has a jumper. The below 05 E-Tons have a wire and the new 05 E-Tons have a dial. By removing the jumper, cutting the wiring or changing the dial, you can increase the top end speed of a mini from 15 mph to 30 mph (or so). To learn how to change the speed of your DS-90, you can check your factory manual's Speed Restrictions section. It should have a description and/or pictures of the CDI control for your DS-90 brand. To obtain top speed range between 15 - 30, you can remove the restrictor from the CDI, and use the thumb control throttle screw. The details of this screw should be in your manual as well. If you don't have a manual, please advise the year and the stroke of your DS-90. Someone with the same DS-90 strock might be able to provide more details.

Hope this helps...

If my 90 did 15mph I'd be pissed. We have a LT80 with some mods running at 45mph.

Guys even our lt 80s when they were new from the factory were limited to around that speed, that is if the dealer hadn't already pulled them out. Besides it isn't fair for us to compare our lts power and speed superiority to the folks out there LOL.
