Default eton 90 bottom end problem?

Hi Guys- Was about to do a top end on our viper90 when I noticed what seemed to be a lot of side-play in the connecting rod. When holding the the piston at tdc, the connecting rod will wiggle 3/8" side to side, Is this play normal? Thanks in advance for your time.

These things have roller bearings in them, so they do have a ton on play in them. How much is too much? I can't say, I don't have the spec's for the motor your talking about. If you can find a shop that has a new crank acc. in stock then you can compair the two.
