Hello, I have seen in the postings that people are replacing their Yamoto 150 air filters with a K&N filter. Is it a direct fit and if it is what is the K&N part number? Thanks for your help!

 

If it's the round filter. Measure your opening and size of filter and go to K&N's website. They have a list of filters you can match to pretty easy.

 

K&N filter #R-1100 is what I've seen recommended. The pre-charger filter wrap is #22-8048PK. I just installed both on my machine. You have to completely remove the airbox to install.

 

After installing th new filter , does the machine have a performance gain?

 

I definately noticed a difference in performance. The machine certainly breathes better and is more responsive when you hit the throttle. I ended up at exactly 1 turn out with the air/fuel mixture screw after installation of the K&N.

 

where is the air fuel mixture screw???

 

do you think that this K&N filter #R-1100 will work for the yamoto 200cc, i thought they had the same carb, but other people say different. any info appreciated!

 

Welcome to the forum paulmurphy777, You will need to measure the back of the carb to determine what diameter it is.

 

ah, found the universal filter page on k & n, shouldn't be a problem. thanks for the advice!
