Default 90cc Gear Oil

2000 90cc Monsoon ATV. I filled up the oil in the gearcase on the quad, I bought it used and it was empty when I got it. Man was it hard to get to with a funnel. After two days of riding I checked the oil again and I could see the gears in there. It seems there is little or no oil left. There are no leaks from the crankcase but there is a plastic hose coming from somewhere under the quad and it looks as though oil may have come out of it???? Where is the oil going???? Thanks for any help

The little hose that you mentioned is a tranny vent hose. The oil "could be" coming out of there. But since its positioned very high on your tranny, the mini would have to be tipped on its side, or upside down, for that much oil to come out.

If you can't find where the oil is coming out, you may want to try and install the Blue Polaris grear oil. Being color blue, its much easier to see its level through the tranny's sight glass (if your model has one) and/or leaks around gaskets. Blue is much easier to see then standard honey yellow gear oil.

Hope this last resort suggestion helps...
