LT80 / DG Pipe / Jetting update
Update on the DG pipe install and jetting changes. I removed two of the front clutch rollers and added a DG pipe without a jet change. The quad just didn't do what I expected, so I worked on the jetting - what a difference!
Now it's at 100 main / 25 pilot for 0-1000 ft elevation. Can't tell you if it's the pipe, the jetting, the removal of 2 front clutch rollers, or a combination of all , but this 16 year old LT80 is WAY faster than a friend's new stock LT80. Had his daughter ride ours versus hers, to get an "unbiased" opinion, and she felt the difference was huge.
Also, I did open the airbox (drilled five 1" holes in the back of it and covered the entire airbox with nylon stockings to keep dirt/mud out).
Anyway, I've heard there are much better pipes out there, so maybe it's not the pipe, but this combination is definitely working well together.
