We own a Jr 90 quad wich our 4 year old rides very well. Today the 6" of wind blown snow had very good traction. The boy got stuck,when he shifted from reverse to foward , stuck in reverse. The engine went into (overerv). We set this up again and PRESTO the thing buzzez like a chainsaw. The idle won't come down on its own without shutting the power down, key or tether. We will not let him ride again until this is fixed. Please let us know if you have experienced this or how to correct. This could potentially be very dangerous. Thanks Bugs.

 

Is the throttle cable stuck? There's a thread either here or on another forum about the same subject. The quad in the thread was also a Pred. but the parent could not get the quad to shut off with the key or tether.I believe the throttle cable was frozen , not sure about the electrical problem though.
