I have heard that sprockets could be good for higher top speeds on the minis. Could anyone suggest sizes and prices for a viper90 ??

We too have a Viper 90. I got some from rebal gears for about 18.00 each. We have 15/28 gearing stock and I got a 16/17 and 18 for the front. I've asked around and it seems like the best bet for racing is about 18/28, depending on alot of things.

Before running out and buying a desired customized sprocket from Rebel Gears, do shop around. Sometimes, the mini-quad Performance Builders can get customized sprockets for less dollars then some sprocket factories. And, some of the really great Performance builders know what "other brands of sprockets" could fit your needs.


Luckily, I was able to obtain a customized rear sproket for our Pred-90 from Billy Holt at WRH Racing. Something about "the original buyer can't pay-up, so let's make a deal on it" situations. And, Billy was able to confirm that a '01 Scram-50 front sprocket will fit my Pred-90. Thus, I didn't need a customized sprocket from a sprocket seller.

Just remember you need a 520 sprocket. Eton's are the only ones that run a 520.
