Sorry it has taken me so long to post a follow-up to let folks know how it's going with our new Kazuma that we bought back in June. Quite simply we are thrilled and had we known that these things existed at these prices we would have purchased one a year or two ago. Our 7 year old (she's a small and light 7 year old) absolutely loves it! Her dad and I have Honda 250s and she goes everywhere that we go and on our property that's saying a lot. It eats up steep hills and rolls over rocks just like the big guys (except that it's a bit of a rough ride since it has no real suspension but since she's never ridden anything else it doesn't bother her much.)

We received it within 7 days of ordering, we received all the manuals we requested and it hasn't given us a bit of trouble. The circular shifting has turned out to be a good thing for her because she can keep kicking down until she gets back to neutral or first - pulling the shifter up with her foot is very difficult.

We have had a great summer riding our atv's together and look forward to the fall. I am hoping to get some pictures up on my page soon.

Thanks to Raceway ATV and I really hope that everyone having problems can get them straightened out.

Hi,
Just a quick update. We have our 50 since April and had nothing but fun. We mainly use it on grass, but it has been dricven slowly on rough trails and up to the exhaust in water. My 4 year old loves that he can start it himself ( never any problem starting at all, although it does need choke for a while ) and even my 7 year likes to ride it - it will easily pull him around ( or me for that matter ). Sorry to hear others have had problems - probably due to expecting a little to much out of this "no suspension" machine.

My daughter and I love our kymco 50 ! This is a fourwheeler for someone the LEARN ON !! NOT for someone who can handle a bigger
fourwheeler and bought this one because it was cost effective ! My daughter will pass this one to her little brother and if she still wants to ride fourwheelers I will get her a "NAME BRAND" one.

Happy Trails

I purchased one of these little 4 wheelers for my daughter in Feb of 2005.
So far the only thing I have had to do was tighten the chain. I have ridden it more then her and it has withstood the punishment very well.
I would buy another one.

Just want to add my impression of the Redcat ( Meercat ) 50cc. We bought the unit from Wicked Rocket.com, and Matt in service has tried to help. We also have the common problem of low power at takeoff and climbing hills. I adjusted the valves and checked the carb ( it was clean ). When that didn't work, Matt sent me a free carb and rear sprocket from a 90cc unit; unfortunately the cab won't fit and the sprocket isn't any larger, but I appreciate his effort. John, I wish I had found you and purchased from Raceway. Based on your posts, I can't imagine a better company to work with. Do you have any suggestions or ideas? Once the atv is moving, it has great speed and power, and my son loves it! I do think I am going to have to address the intake breakage issue, since I can see where the carb cap is hitting the frame. All things considered, it is a decent machine for what we paid for it, but I would have more peace of mind if we had bought from Raceway.

A update on the Redcat 50 I bought for my 6 year old son...Intake broke, replaced it in june and it broke again. Replaced it this time and also cut out the frame area near the carb. Welded a strap outside the frame to re-enforce it. That was in August and have had no problems since. It is a little hard to start after it has not run for a while. Putting on the choke to start and running it at half choke until it warms up seems to work great. No other problems and everything works great! My son loves it!
