here's my questions
i have a few questions
1 - where do you change the tranny oil? or does it have any?
2 - are the airfilters really that hard to clean?
3 - was $500 a good price? it is in really good shape i would say. no seat tears, plastic is not cracked, tires are approx 50%
4 - doing a little reading on them here in the forums, i didnt realize they use a belt. what is the life of these belts?
one last question, anyone know where to find a repair manual on c/d? or where i can download one?
thanks
aaron

1) at the rear, on the right side, by chain (which you can't adjust). uses very little oil, like 80-90ml. (like 1/10th of a quart). i think it uses motor oil type viscosity (i.e-10W40), NOT 80-90 gear oil...but i can't recall for sure
2)compared to how easy some filters are to get at, these are a bit of a pain, but easy enuff to clean once ya get it out.
3)$500 seems like a great price, especially if in good shape. what year?
4)belts last a really long time. as in years. BUT, the clutch rollers inside the belt case require frequent grease/maintenance.

On repair manual, i have an LT80 FACTORY manual covering all years. It is in a 3-ring binder, and each page is mounted in a plastic sleeve, so if ya get it greasy, you just wipe off the plastic, no permanent stain (wife's idea). PLUS, i have a case of 12 quarts of Amsoil synthetic 2-stroke injector oil. It came highly recommended as a good oil to use for these. one of the reasons is to minimize carbon build-up in the head, which affects performance big-time. ANYWAYS, I'm selling BOTH as a package deal locally for $80 US/or $100 CDN. I'm going to Kyack golf course in May, and maybe Everett,WA to visit my uncle. are you far from those places? I also go to Sumas and Bellingham often, but that's only JUST across the line.

What's Colville close to?

heh, heh, heh..... ooops! we went on Spring Break....March 21ish. we got a lotta rain. I tried connecting with that wing-nut Oneflycowboy... but he just dodged me. maybe next year we'll just go 1/2 way if there's some good quadding/camping areas around yer way. too much snow in our quad areas in March (no snow in the city, but sure is when ya go into the interior or elevation).
