lt80 drive belt adjustment

Sounds like the restrictors might still be in. You might want to take the carb off and clean it with carb cleaner. When the bike sits and the oil res is full oil will flow into the carb. So the carb will be full of oil thus you get a fouled plug. If you look at the bottom of the carb before you remove it, there will be gold screw that will drain the float. Unscrew it, if oil runs out.... problem solved. Take the plug out and keep it out, try and start the bike for about 2-3 seconds, do this 4-times with the plug out. This will blast out all the crud stuck in the cylinder. Clean the plug and try running it again. Good luck!

jack (the LT80 guru) always said the stock LT80 pipe was as good as any of the aftermarket pipes, only the sound changes. save yer $$. ALSO, i put mine on hot coals for about an hour, then blew it out with compressed air. that REALLY helped increase my power.

Yep, LT80 Jack says the stock or a Trinity pipe are best. But yes the stock pipe is super heavy and bulky. I bought a Trinity and before that I had a DG pipe. The DG was nice but it did not do much for the bike except make it sound good. I sold it to some fellow here on the fourm for 150.00. the Trinity is KA-Ching! The chrome trinity cost me 279.00 but damn is it bad to the bone. When by boy fly's by on the track people ask me " what the hell is in that thing? " I just reply, LT80 Jack with a side order of Daddy's love........
