i have done this 2 ways. cut out the plastic battery box and a little extra on each side. make a metal battery box to go between the frame rails that slides the battery to the left away from the exhaust. or buy an aluminum battery box from wrh racing and locate it behind the seat in the grab bar area as far forward as you can.

Those 6-packs work pretty good.

Mine's ugly but effective. I bought two "L" brackets and a straight bracket. Mounted the "L"'s straight to the frame over the left rear tire. Shaped the straight bracket into a " [ " shape and mounted it to the back of the "L"s where the baterry can't slide forward or backwards (only fits in one direction). Then used plastic ties to hold it down. Don't remember exactly, but the metal cost under $10. So far it's held over some pretty good bumps.

BUT, if my kid ever starts jumping, I think I'll need to weld it on or add a cross support from the other side of the frame.
