dirt drags

Both my kids raced their lt80s last weekend aug 6,7th. 70%dirt mixed with about 30% sand at Barlow point raceway in longview wa.
Cody ,9, won on sunday carly ,8, lost in the final round on saturday, red light, and again was a little to quick off the light on sunday going out in the semi finals. Both of them run around 10.00 seconds, however cody was running with flat rollers(still)and still doing fine. he should be closer to 7.5 to 8.0 seconds when I replace them(if they ever come in at the bike shop) It dosen't matter how fast just how consitent you areas they bracket race. Reaction times is where you win. They run a 4.0 sec tree and carly always runs rt s around .450's Cody is closer to .500to .550 rt's most the other kids run .750 to 1.50 rt's.

I should have mentioned also that any time faster than 8.0 seconds will disqualify your kid at the track we race at, but his bike when fixed should be able to achieve runs in the 7's, I'll just have to turn in the throttle screw.

8 seconds!!?? I don't think I'll ever understand bracket racing let alone telling you to slow down.
I'm sure it's a safety thing...Course,,it could be a good thing for a "working man" to have his kid compete. I'm all for that.
Don't faint mag,,I have responded!! LOL.
