Default hard to start

Hi, guys, just joined up, I haven't had an ATV since I sold my 350x about 7-8 yrs ago, now got house kid etc & bought a used 50cc Action atv for the little boy. Has a Moto Morini engine. New needle, float etc, runs great now if you can get it started. Hot or cold it is a monster to start. Run a sec or two & die, repeat, rinse, repeat. After you get it started will run all day just fine. I have tried diff starting techniques etc to no avail. Anyone have an idea?

Welcome to the forums.
Boy does that bring back memories! I had one. Got it for my kid brand new.
I was the only person in the world that could start it. I cannot tell you how.
It was a choke twice, no choke twice, smack with a hammer, swear, etc. LOL

That describes this unit to a tee, it must be your old one. I get tired of kicking it, come back later it will fire right up, run, die, kick, & then it'll run for the rest of the day, as long as you don't shut it off. Brian
