Default Kazuma 150 engine problem

Please help! My 150 Kazuma ( bought lst March ) loses power & sputters when the throttle is opened 1/2 way to full. Check the spark plug. Found some black soot. Cleaned plug, adjusted carb as per owners manual but still sputters. Anyone with the same problem or solution? Cheers !

Welcome to the forum Mogey, I would say either the choke is stuck or the carb is dirty.

Wow! That's a quick reply. Glad to be aboard. I'll try a can of carb cleaner first. Cheers !

The plug could also be fouled because they put junk plugs in them.

My dealer thinks it's a faulty coil. Won't see him till next week. Thanks for the input on changing the spark plug. NGK here I come. Crossing my fingers. Cheers !

Well just got back from the dealer. He was right. Faulty coil wire. Took 1 min. to change & the atv kicks like a mule. Dealer smiles & says it's a common problem with Kazuma. Aye ya ya. Cheers !
