Default Komoto 150

Hi,

I bought 2 Komoto 150 auto with reverse (Yamoto) atv for my kids last week and they have performed great. The normal loose bolts and less than desirable suspension were a few things that I knew about because of this forum but these things work better than I thought they would. I bought them from a dealer on ebay he had the best rating of all of the sellers on ebay and even had a phone number listed he was very helpful and frendly, I got both bikes delivered to a nearby buisness for $2,200.
One of the bikes had a rectifier with a broken mount and a couple of missing nuts and bolts. I was a little worried about being able to get parts but I called them up and they sent replacements that arrived 2 days later with no questions asked. Ive never got service like that in the 30 years Ive dealt with the big 4. Anyway the bikes are running great with no problems so far but they look pretty simple so if it breaks I can fix it. I will give further updates on any problems or mods.

Default Komoto 150

Hi Again,

It was raining like hell today, we had a little tropical depression, and the kids decided they wanted to ride in the muck, so I cut them loose. Other than a loose positive battery connection causing erratic starting and getting soaked they both perfomed flawlessly no problems as of yet, no clutch slipping flooding or hard cranking. So they do perform pretty good in the water. I think if you get these for kids or if you just want to knock around these are great. But if you want to get serious you need to step up to a Jap quad.

Although these two machines took a pretty good beating today, about 5 hrs in the rain and mud. The 12 yr old is kinda hard on his machine, but he hasnt broken it so far. Of coarse I did tell him he was paying for it if he broke it.
The steel in these machines is soft. But for my particular application, which is an 8yr old and a 12 yr old boy living on a 50 acre farm with about 20 acre of trees these are perfect.

The two bikes cost me less than 1 yamaha raptor 90, the guy I bought it from even threw in some extra light bulbs and a set of brake pads not to mention I had a rectifier that had broken from the mount and he sent a new one that arrived 2 days later no questions asked WOW! If any are interested in a cheap bike with good service I can tell you that Anam Cycles from Oklahoma city OK they sell the Komoto, same as Yamoto etc. those guys have been the best. Thanks Philip for all of your help. Now I'm going to get a Uni Filter and some radiator hose to replumb the intake to the front end.
