Default Yamoto 110 won't start

I just finished assembling my kids 110cc and can't get it to start.

The assembly process went pretty easy. I'm pretty sure that everything is installed correctly.

The starter will crank, but I can't get the engine to go. At first, I thought that it might have been that gas was not getting to the carb (both carb and fuel valve are almost at the same height). I check it and it appears to be getting fuel.

I checked the spark plug and I don't think I'm getting a spark.

Any ideas/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I'll give it a try tomorrow. My wife will not be happy if I'm in the garage until 1-2am.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Check to make sure that the engine stop switch isnt off, Also the stock spark plugs dont have a great reputation. NGK C7HSA is the replacement.

Thanks on the NGK spark plug #.
Does anyone know what the gap is supposed to be?
I tried to measure the gap last night and the stock plug gap was smaller than my gauge would go.

Thanks for all of the help. I got it going tonight and everything seems to be working fine.

Can't say exactly what the problem was, but here' what I did.
*NGK spark plug
*Pulled front plastic and checked all contacts...no red flags
*Checked rest of electrical connections...no red flags
*Pulled carb. Everything on the carb appeared to be fine. I did, however, notice that the spacer between the carb and 90 downpipe was cracked. The crack was outside the o-ring.
*Played with the kill switch. Didn't open it up, but just rocked back and forth between off and on.

Buttoned everything back-up and got it to start in fairly short order.

Can't be sure, but my guess is that it was the kill switch. The spring return always brought it back to on, but I suspect that it was sticking in the off position. Should have messed with it first. On the bright side, it did make me tear a lot of things apart and get a better understanding of the machine.

Thanks again for the all of the help...you kept me sane!

Also if you don't already know your kid's bike is equipt with a auto kill switch. You should have a remote (looks like a car alarm key chain), and the kill box is located near your battery under the seat onnections are good there also.............Bill

Glad to help, and knowing a little more about your machine will be helpful in the future.
