Hi southwestrider,

Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been out of town and swamped. I am not sure if the factory presets are the same for all locations, probably are. I noticed that ours were marked with blue marker (as were many other screws, bolts, nuts, etc.) but how many turns in/out is beyond me. The screw with the spring is the idle speed and the other one is air/fuel mixture (from what I understand). I found that by making small adjustments I could get the machines running well. The adjustments had to be made both when they were cold and after they had warmed up quite a bit. The idle RPM went up quite a bit initially when warmed up and had to be adjusted. I wish I could tell you the exact settings but mine were both set up by trial and error. They are running great now, had them both out for a bit yesterday after they sat for a couple of weeks and they both fired up quite well. My suggestion is to align the marks on both screws, if you have marks on them from the factory (marker, I would guess as part of a Quality check) then move adjust them in and out from there. Not knowing how much the guy adjusted it when you first got it could be a slight set back. I found I had to mess with the air/fuel mixture first to get the ATV running then tweaked the idle after that to get a proper RPM. May have to try little tweaks to get best performance.

Sorry I could not be of more help.

Where do you ride? I'm just down the QEW in Welland, and have a hard time finding places to ride legally?

Does anyone know a cross reference to the cd-f007 brake pads for the rear disk on a 90cc Baja atv. I went to the local store and they are around $40. I called Baja and they told me out of stock till the middle or end of February. Thank you for any help with this.

Hey camster,

Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been travelling lately and been up to my @$$ in work.

We have done most of our riding, so far, in Flamborough or in Wellandport. We have friends and family that live in these areas on farms, etc. and we have the luxury of being able to ride there any time (we were riding in Flamborough on Saturday, had a blast). We have yet to find trails or such in our immediate area. I hope to be able to find more areas to ride and will let you know what I find.

This is my first post on this site and I would like to thank everyone that has offered as much info as they have! I wanted to let everyone know that I bought a Baja 90 from Carleton Place Canadian Tire here in Ottawa Ontario for my son for Christmas. It developed a major knock in the motor with about 15KM's on the bike. I brought it back in to have it looked at based on onother person in this thread having the same problem. Long story short, Derrick at Canadian tire said he would look at it the next day, and within one week he let me know the motor was done, come on in tonight and pick up a brand new quad!!! No questions asked.

This to me is unreal service. I have purchased many large ticket items in my life, but have never received such good service, ever. So thank you to Derrick and Baja for coming good on their product. It's nice to see someone backing what they sell after they have your money. Just thought I would share that with everyone, in case your on the fence about purchasing one of these bikes from Canadian Tire, as I was initially.

That is great news about your new Baja. Its good to hear that Baja and crappy tire helped you out in getting your quad fixed or in your case replaced. For me Baja has also been great with replacing a rear rim and a chain guard with no questions asked.
