I am looking at buying a couple of the Baja 90cc quads for my boys, I am wondering if they have a engine braking system when going downhills or do they just freewheel down them?

The tranny is two stage when going slow it is freewheeling but when going faster the tranny's second stage will hold back...These little quads also have verygood brake's disk in the back drum up front...We have had our's about six weeks and its been great my son love's it and I loved the price$

We have experinced that they have great engin breaking. if you let of the throttle when going down hill, or in flat land, you can hear the engin sound changing from pulling to breaking. It is also clearly evident in the way the Baja slows down. No free wheeling has been experinced with ours, maybe when it has a few more miles on it the clutch might loosen up a little more.
