Hi All, great threaed...somebody is a mind reader...

Was going to post questions myself, as I too bought a 90cc for my son. It seems to work well, everything nice and tight and all the lights working. Damn that alarm is looud though, LOL

Sounds like support is out there, maybe spend an hour or two tracking down help lines, but there seems to be evidance that we can get some parts. I spent about 700 for the 90cc from someplace out of Texas, we got 3 totatl as my brother in law ordered two for his kids. I ordered the Red, but ended up with Black as he was out of the colors....not complaining, ordered some ninja stickers for it anyway so my little guy will have something that looks differant from his cousins.

Merry Christmas everybody !!
C-ya out there

Word of Caution:
My Brother in law and I bought 4 of these things between the two of us for kids Christmas presents. Make sure the nuts on the outside of the sprocket on the rear axle are tight. Three out of the four bikes came loose there. Also make sure to check the tension on the chains. They either were loose or got loose really quick. Brother in Law snapped the chains on both of his and had a problem with the brakes not disengaging on one of the bikes and burned up the brake. I had a side vent piece on the body fall off and rest itself on the exhaust pipe melting it.

The 2 I bought for the kids seem to be doing very well. I went through Christmas Eve checking all nuts and bolts to be sure all were tight. The kids think they are great. I'm a little concerned with the possibility of turning them over though ....Have to teach them not to try and turn so tight and faster speeds, other than that all is well. Merry Christmas to all and hope all kids are enoyning and being safe.

ok, seems like still a good little deal. thinking spacers will be needed, as it sits narrow and lil guy might need some wide tracking until he learns a bit better...

also have to go over every little bolt and wire to make sure tight...lost an exhaust nut or two today, but nothing earth shattering...stock up on some 10mm nuts

all and all, def. worth the $585 we paid for a 90 cc machine...

As far as SUNL, like any manufacturer they have to protect their dealers. No ATV manufacturer or distributor will sell direct to a customer. That's standard practice in the industry.

SUNL will sell direct to anyone, anytime. Says so on their webpage they will deal direct with the public.
SUNL will let anyone become a dealer for them. Drop-ship....whatever.
SUNL does not protect it's dealers....all they care about is volume.
SUNL sells directly off EBAY and even undercuts their own dealers.
You have the cash and SUNL will sell to ANYONE!

Your wrong sir SunL will not sell to to anyone. The only way a retail customer can buy anything from SunL is our website and then even then it is just parts SunL marks the prices really high on there website so that retail customers will go to a dealer and buy the product. In order to buy product from SunL at wholesale price is to be a true powersports dealer, you must have a parts dept. service center the whole works. That might not have been the case in the past but that is the way it is now. Big Ric i see you post allot on the forums about SunL and how much you dislike them and the problems you have had. If you still have problems you can email me or call me and ill do my best to help you with any problem you are having that goes for anybody having problems with SunL products or service. tony@sunl.com 972-243-4555 ext. 208

That's pretty sad if Tony is the only one at SunL trying to help SunL customers whether it be a dealer or retail customer. That says alot about the company.

The manufacturer for my Chinese ATV will sell me the parts I need and they have not gouged me for any of the parts that I have needed. The above quote should give the readers here some indication that SunL is not in the business of customer service, they just want your money. Once again this also says a lot about the way SunL as a company wants to deal with their retail customers. Pawn them off to their dealers who don't service their customers either. Not only that, why are there so many SunL complaints here in the forums? Could it be SunL's dealer network is not all they claim it is? Or could it be SunL just does not supply the parts the dealers and customers need?

If there is one good thing you can say for SunL, it is that they have one employee who is trying to help their customers. That is still better than none, but who knows how long that will last before he gets fed up and moves on to something better.

I hear ya! But I have not had much dealings with anyone there but Tony. I started with him and always worked with him. We have became very good friends, I even go out to Texas and hang out with the Texas boy some times! Over all the owner is a real nice guy but my opinion is he has way to much on his hands. They sell a ton of different things and cannot concentrate on what should be done! Sometimes bigger is not always better! But Tony does have a good heart and is one of the nicest guys in the business. I would not just say it he is a good guy. But not to take away from your point smb05 ya need more then one to handle the crowd! But again he does try his best. I would hate to see what Sunl would be like without him! O BOY!
