After having a problem that could have severly injured or killed my son and getting no response from the business that sold me the ATV, I did my own research finding out that the Chinese Co. Stannic issued a safety notice over 1 yr ago for exactly the same problem I had. Fortunately my son was not injured when he malfunction occured. The American sellers are not notifing the US consumers of these notices so I copied the notices from Stannic (the Kazuma factory) web site. Kazuma is making these models with the mentioned improvements, however; the American sellers that have the affected units are selling them from drop ship warehouses without the suggested upgrades.
Is your Cougar overheating? Having problems with you Dingo or Cougars wheels? Did your childs Falcon with dual A arms, front tire break away? Read below. If you had one of these safety issues break with your unit, please contact the "Consumer Product Safety Commission" at 1-301-504-7923, the "Consumer Protection Agency" at 1-618-529-6400 {this number is for IL, ask them for your states number} and the "Federal Trade Commision" at 1-877-382-4357. We have to stop the sale of the un-upgraded units before someones child is injured or killed. I could not get the "Notices" photos to post below, so you will have to go to Stannic web site
http://www.kazuma.com/parts/index.asp Click your notice and there will be detailed photos.
FYI Teej6 a concerned parent
PS, Please, this is not a slam the Chinese bikes thread, do that somewhere else. My previous Kazuma experiences have been good. This thread is to educate the public to prevent injuries. Please e-mail anyone you know with Kazuma's to check to see if their bikes are affected.

Having been a KAZUMA dealer for a few years now I can say that they do not honor their 6 months motor warranty, now you have to send in the parts and they tell you if they feel it was abuse which I can understand that but I know if it was abuse or not but that 1 person still says no about 90 % of the time it gets to be a big headache. When I sell an atv I can just about tell if they are going to abuse it or not except when they are shipped then you do not know. Out of about 200 sold I had 3 that I knew was abuse. As to the gears on the 150cc automatic Kazuma knew the gears were not quality made and they still give dealers a headache about replacing them under warranty. I still deal with Kazuma but only sell the small ones now, I have since got another dealership with other makes that are better warranted. If you do your homework see how many of the dealers sell the Kazuma big atvs they don't because of the junk warranty. Thanks the COWGIRL.

I also noticed that the most popular Kazuma that is sold is the 50cc, up to the 110cc. After that most dealers sell Something like Yamoto, or Redcat even though Redcat is made from the same factory.

We sell the large Kazuma machines and have no regrets doing so.
I think the reason many online dealers don't sell the larger machines is because it costs a small fortune to ship them unless they get a big discount with their freight company. Anything larger than a 110 usually falls into a different dim-weight class and the price tends to skyrocket. The smaller stuff is much less expensive to ship.
I actually think the 150cc engine on the Kazuma Dingo 150 and the Falcon 150 is excellent, and I think both machines are a great value for the price. The Kazuma 250cc engine has been less reliable, plus there's been that temp gauge issue mentioned above. Still, we continue to sell the 250cc models, plus we also sell the 2006 Falcon 110 Deluxe that corrected the ball joint problem listed above.
Just for clarification, we also sell Redcat and the only models that are made at the Stannic factory are the ones identical to the Kazuma machines - the KMX-50, FX series, and the KMZ series. Everything else is manufactured elsewhere, and it appears as though Redcat will completely phase out their Kazuma look-alikes by the end of this year. Good for them!

the engine kazuma uses in the 150cc is the honda gy-6 engine, most mini sand buggy's also uses this same engine, great engine and the parts and performance items like 4 valve heads, cams, roller weights, performance clutches all available for this engine.
Weekend Warrior
Curious about your sand rail...did you purchase it online and, if so, where from? Any links would be appreciated.
I grew up in SoCal and my family was into building sand rails using heavily mod'ed VW engines. I sure miss the dunes - there's nothing like that out here in Texas!
