Jamez, It is unbelieveable to me the problems your having with the DMV. I got the Pink slip for the 200 over a week ago.
Thanks for all the input on the Jetmoto quads. It sounds like your putting them to the test.

I finally got my green sticker for this quad, gee what a hassle! I took it to a third dmv office and gave me some troubles but after pleading with him he gave me my papers. Took this thing out to the dunes to see on how it will do. First off its good on small to medium hills. I got stuck on most of the really big ones(im 5'9" 165lbs). It just does not have enough juice to go up with the name brands. Paddles will help it a little bit but you need to heavly mod this quad. I added a uni filter and helped with the starting a bit,no more numerous cranks saving battery life. So far no real issues, just the tesion bolts for the chain were stripped when adjusting. Looks like the threads were already stripped. So far no carb problem ,thats a relief. I tested the top speed while my friend was drivng his truck next to me. He said it did 47-48mph. Hopefullly there will be some parts upgrade to add some ponies.

Hey dude,
U guys got me wanting to order one of these Jetmoto 200 quads. I have been scanning the internet for cheaper quads and reading numerous reviews, but your real world off road test has been enlightening. Like many others pondering buying an entry level atv, price is an issue and I want something that won't fall apart.
I was curious whether u launched your Jetmoto 200 off any decent jumps to see how the frame holds up to impact? No broken welds or bent control arms? Is this thing torquey enough to hang wheelies down the street? I'm simply wondering if the 200 is enough power for me. I'm 6'-5" and weigh 180. Reading your earlier threads, sounds like it'd be a good starter quad for me.
I appreciate your reports. If I buy, I'll give Raceway a try. Customer support is key with these foreign quads!

whodatbe, I am most likely going riding this weekend and will get some pics of the 200 in action and with different sized riders on it too.
Welcome to the forum NeedMoreBeer, How high do you want to jump? The 200 is a really neat quad but I would think that constant air time would break something. It still is a entry level quad.
Jetmoto is planning on selling a 200 and a 300 adult sized quads, possibly as soon as this winter if testing goes well. I will personally try to break one of those in half before I reccomend them to anyone. I havnt tried to do that with the current 200 as it is a mid sized quad and wasnt made for that.

Hey MWQ, thanks! I decided to go for it. I should have my 200 jetmoto here on friday. Depending on when it gets here, I plan on disassembling it, and rebuilding it that night (fixing anything I see as a potential problem) and getting it fired up. Will post first impressions as soon as I do. I will definitely be riding this weekend, and will put it through it's paces. In the 90's I owned a Honda Atv 'only' repair shop. Since at that time there were still a million 'ATCs' out there, that's mostly what I worked on, so I know the vast majority of these things pretty intimately... that being said, I broke MANY a frame in jumps 3 and 4 wheelers, and these were Hondas, the creme of the crop back then. We just welded them back together. So, that part of the scenario i'm not worried about, just the quality of the metal and electronics, as well as 'extremeties' just falling/breaking off from nomral riding which is something i've heard a lot. In a lot of those cases though it's because the bolts weren't tightened/lock-tited on, so that's to be expected. I am expecting a middle of the road built bike that will need some tweeking to make it 'right', and then as I break things i'll let you all know, and then fix them. I'm not a big guy - 5'8" 155, so I can catch some air, and not come down as hard as you 235lbers! Hopefully I won't be welding after every ride! Anyway, i'll post pics as well. Since there are no pics of anything from when you first get it, I will take them from the time I get the crate until i'm riding of anything I think is important. I'll post it all beginning of next week. I just hope it all starts out ok with nothing broken when I get it.

Sounds great whodatbe, You are the perfect size for one of these as far as Im concerned. As far as setup. I would check everybolt for tightness and put blue loctite on all the 6mm bolts/nuts/screws. The larger ones you can just cinch down but any thing that bolts a small bracket or plastic to the frame should be loctited. I also reccomend leting the quad idle for 2-3 10 minute sessions before riding it. It seems to let the carb settle in and clean out. That and change the motor oil before even starting it.

Great info, MWQ! BTW, did you adjust the valves before running it, or check them? Is the adjustment .010? Have you seen any leakage at the base of the cylinder, or cylinder to head, or head to valve cover? Anything leaking at all? thanx.

MWQ,
Thanks for the warm welcome.
As far as jump height expectations, I was curious if the 200 could handle being airborne 2’ to 3’ or do u think even small jumps might break the frame? My friend is a welder, so I guess I'm covered if a get a crack. Even though they may come out with larger quads, u can’t beat the price on this entry level Jetmoto. Have u heard of Roketa atvs? My friend sent me a link at Roketa.com where u not only look at their various quads, but watch real world videos of dealers riding the atvs they sell. It requires high speed Internet to view, but it’s good to c dealers off road testing these foreign quads, since most quad magazines never test them.
