I just got done reading thru the long Chinese quad trashing posts . First off thank you to everyone here that for the most part have been a great source of information and advice . THANK YOU ! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img].
That being said , I bought a new Polaris for myself and a SunL 50 for my 5 year old son. It has been a wonderful little quad for him and John at Raceway has been a fantastic seller to deal with. I bought the SunL because I wanted my son to get into the sport but didnt want to sell the house for a quad for him to ride for 2-3 years before he outgrows it. I asked my dealer what the level of depreciation on a new Polaris 50cc would be. He stated that if I held onto it for 2-3 years I could expect to lose 900-1000 dollars. He was right ! A search of ATV trader shows most 2 year old 50CC dropping approx $1000 off MSRP. At that price I could buy a second quad (chinese) and come out even. I dont think it will come to that though. The little SunL seems to be made pretty decent and as many have stated before my son just knows he has a quad to ride and is grinning from ear to ear . My opinion is for a entry level quad they fill a void in the market . I think the key is to find a good dealer ( and John at Raceway fits that ) and you cant go wrong.

I'll throw in my Two cents as well, and don't worry it'll be my final post at this site. I find the sentiments of this place to be exactly the opposite of what you think. This is not a "Kids Quads and Other ATVs" forum, it's a Chinese Adult and Kid Quad forum, and should be titled as such. I've never putdown the Chinese stuff, although I'm no fan of China and it's policies concerning the US. I find it interesting that there hasn't been a post concerning Japanese Kid's quads since the discussion of giving the Chinese stuff its own area. It's become obvious that those of us interested in the Japanese makes have chosen to go to other forums, because there's plenty of activity elsewhere. Later guys!

Have I missed something? I hang out at the Polaris forum, but posted a topic on here about a Sportsman 90. I have read a couple of different topics and there seems to be some issues here. I am not trying to throw gas on a burning fire, just trying to understand the posts. Was there a topic that caused some grief?

 

It seems some folks just need to put others down as opposed to just being happy that everybody is riding. There are enough folks outside our sport that put us down.
For me it's simple........ as long as your riding something ( other than a broomstick) Your ok with me !

What that guy seems to be missing is that if someone like me who has a 250cc utility atv from Kazuma happens to go into the utility atv forum or someone with an adult falcon goes into another forum, nobody knows what they hell we are talking about. There are alot of people who dont even know the chinese quads exist. Thats why people with the adult chinese quads are in this forum as well.



Not that I care all too much either.

 

CAN YOU SAY PEARL HARBOR ! in the 70's we call them jap crap's.and some of these are still around. everythings getting made in chain today and they are making atvs and bikes better why because of us that want we demand. ill give my money to the chiness any day!

Japan used exposive bombs, but China is using pot metal bombs to kill this country. I'd say in 20 years, we'll be talking a different story in here.
