Anyone try Kerosene??
#1
My son filled the gas tank with kerosene thinking it was gasoline. Anyone ever do this and if so how did you recover from it? Drained tank and float bowl, cleaned spark plug and refilled with gasoline. Finally got the thing started and rode it back to the house (about 1/4 mile) but noticed that it would not idle. Went out the next day and the thing doesn't want to start anymore. Also, I'm not sure if this is related or not but, I went out to tinker with the atv after a couple of days and noticed that it was very wet around the vent hose coming off the head. Anyone know what this means? As usual any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

Might want to check the engine's PSI as well. Hopefully, you took a PSI "baseline" when you first got your ATV. Compare it now to determine if within Normal Operating range. If below normal range (due to burnt cylinder walls, burnt rings, etc.), time for a top end rebuild.
Hope this helps as well....

I doubt the vent hose leak, has anything to do with the kero, id think they were unrelated.
You may have to clean out the carb, and focus on the pilot jet, thats probably whats plugged.
If you try to start it at 1/4 throttle, will it start then?
