All,
I know the JAPs make the best. I have 3 and love them. However, I do have Chinese made "cheapies" that I like too. Please, I want to get these guys to accept that they are selling these by the bunches and this page is in need of upgrade.

From what I have heard when other forums tried this exact thing, neither group got enough hits to warrant seperating them. That and the fact that about 90% of the chinese quads are for kids/small adults.

Yeah but it is getting to the point where they are making bigger 250, 350, and even 400cc quads with radiators and shaft drives now. I really don't think that excuse will hold water for too much longer.

Thats a good point solareclipse2 and that may be what happens. I will tell you that I am in no way speaking for the atvconnection forum. Just tossing out a few thoughts. Im just a moderator, not the owner.

I really didn't mean to imply you were making any statements on behalf of the forum but I felt I had to put that out here. We talked about about that 400cc 4x4 from Redcat the other day. Aside from that, people still insist on ordering from drop shipping companies. Sites like globalsources.com drop ship chinese atvs that are up to 700cc's.

Check these out. There are hundreds of types, styles and manufacturers of these things

That is a pretty amazing site solareclipse. Wow. I had no idea that so many different quads were available from one place.

I have to agree with everyone who, time and time again, has asked, expressed and begged that a separate chinese ATV forum be created. There are other forums that have half or close to the number of topics posted on the "Kids Quads and Other ATV's" forum. Cannondale, who went belly up around 2003 has their own forum and only 2729 topics. The kids etc. forum has 4058. Add the Raceway ATV forum and you are close to 5000. Utility, Sport, Dunes & Dune Machines and ATC 3 wheelers are anywhere's from half to 2/3 of the number of topics posted in the Kids quads etc. section. This section, being taken over by the Chinese quad owners, also does a dis-service to the kids quad owners/members that post in this section. Most of their posts go unanswered being that someone with a Honda 50 is going to go to the Honda forum first. Anyone else isn't going to spend the time sorting/looking through all the chinese posts to help a fellow Jap youth atv-er. If a defunct manufacturer can have their own forum why can't a current and growing bunch of manufacturers have their own forum? The Chinese quads are doing to the ATV industry now exactly what the Japanese did to the Auto and motorcycle industry in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Due to the fact that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer the Chinese ATV market is eventually going to take over the market. With the manufacturing/technical/production sector being replaced with temp staffing, underpayed contractor services, layoffs and cutbacks the middle class will eventually disappear (sooner than later). There will be a lower class, an upper class and a poverty class. Middle class (the masses) will be gone. The Chinese ATV's will be the only affordable ATV's. They are/will be the Walmart of the ATV world. I wouldn't be surprised if you eventually see them being sold at Walmart's and Sam's clubs. If it weren't for a bunch of lower/middle class workers investing in Harley Davidson and bringing about quality as their sales pitch when the Japanese motorcycles started grabbing the market you wouldn't see them around any more. I don't see that happening with the Japanese ATV manufacturers when the bottom drops out on them. When less people can afford them they will have to raise their prices to cover costs and even less people will be able to afford them. Not everyone can afford to pay 1/5 of their salary or more to buy a new model ATV from a dealer. You can get a Yamaha Raptor 350 for about 4k or you could get a Redcat 350 for about 2k (prices not exact). If you only make $35k to $50k a year what choice do you have. 1/10th or more of your yearly salary or more or 1/20th. You do the math. If someone that reads this knows a way to send an email or IM to the owner or manager of this site perhaps you could post it under this and the Raceway forums so we can all send pleas to get our own Chinese ATV forum.

I8amm,
China is a huge threat to our future. I take an oath of office to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. China is the foreign and Howard Dean of your state is the domestic. I'm much more fearful of Howard Dean and his politics than I will ever be of Chinese made quads Seadawg out
