im not getting gas into the cylinder took carb off checked and cleaned it checked reeds checked petcock everything is ok what else could it be and is it possible that the pet **** vacum system failed? also when i went to put it back together i forgot which hose goes where on the carb can someone explain it, and lastly how does the vacum system for the petcock work?

 

When the motor turns over it creates a vaccum. The vaccum pulls open the diafram in the petcock.
Remove both hoses. Put petcock in prime position. Fuel should run out. Put that hose on the fuel supply tube.
Put the other hose on the tube that's closest to the motor. The front tube is the carb vent.
Try to start w/petcock in prime. If fuel does not flow in the prime position, somethings wrong in the petcock/tank.

 

If you have fuel flow to the carb, the next step is to make sure the floats aren't stuck in the up position, and/or that your jets are not clogged. Sounds like you may have done some of this already. Good luck.
