Default Giovanni Help Needed

Hi, does anyone have an actual manual for the Giovanni 49.5cc quad? The one I downloaded off the web seems to be for a larger model.

I just got one of these today and assembled it. It started right up, but stalled out and we weren't able to get it going again. Seems the spark plug fouled very easily. I am going tomorrow to get the NKG equivalent.

A question that still remains - how does the speed limiter work (i.e. what do I do to limit how fast this will go)? Also is there an idle adjustment that I can't see? Seems like we could have got it fired up again, but it was just idling too low.'

Help would be appreciated. Also any other tips/tricks that people have found to get these things up and running out of the crate.

Thanks

Hi
I just received one of these as well,it has been working great. The idle adjustment is the phillips head srew on the right side of the carburator.Did u try giving it some choke ???lever on left side of carburator.
Throttle adjustment is the screw with the jam nut in front of the throttle lever, all it does is increase or decrease how much gas u can give it.as for the manual if u find one let me know.
The only starting issue i have had is forgetting to flick the little red kill switch back on

Thanks for your feedback it is very helpful! Did you replace the sparkplug? If so what one did you use. I was told a NGK BR7HSA would work, but when I went to get one I was told it was the same as a BR7HS (no A). It was not the same size. Going back tonight to look for the right one.

Try taking the carb off and clean it out and un screw the jets and make sure they are clean blow through them and look for debri in them. When wee got our gio we had stalling problems and cleaning the carb out helped.

Gio is working great now. I put a name brand spark plug and played with the choke. It fires right up.

My son is having a great time on it.

Thanks for all your help.
