BMX 150cc ATV, what engine? Please Help!
#1
I recently purchased a BMX 150cc ATV and I am trying to find out what engine is on it. The carburator is made by Sheng Wey and it is shaft driven, not chain. I am also trying to find out the valve clearance for this engine. Any help would be appriciated.

Is it a "BMX 150" or a "BamX 150"? Ive never heard of BMX, but BamX is up in Gridley, Ca. If you have a BamX, the motor is made by Tomoto, China. The fella that owns BamX visits this forum occasionally.

It has the manual 5 speed transmission. Here is a link to the website that sells them and the one I have, but it's like pulling teeth to get them to give you any information or specs about them. I looked at other Chinese brands and the only other engines that look like these say they are 200cc.

Welcome to the forum masterbs, I would assume its a Honda copy. Who copied it in china is a good question thats for sure. How do you like it? I would set the vlaves at .002 stone cold. That has worked for my Yamoto and is the spec. for all my Hondas.
