Default Kazuma 150 stalls

Hi Everyone! Thanks for all of the tips on the forum. They have helped my son and me through a few rough spots.

This weekend, we finally finished replacing the reverse gearbox after it decided to tear itself up...

Now when you push the throttle, the 150 stalls. You can push it a little bit and the 150 goes at walking speed, but as soon as you push it a little further, she stalls right out.

Any ideas?????????????

sounds like a dirty carb. take it apart and clean it, paying special attention to the pilot jet.

one more thing spent the $10 and buy a good fuel filter and use a fuel additive, you won't have this problem again.

Thanks for the advice on the carb and fuel filter.

Today, we tried to drive the quad again. It runs a little better, but no power. My son can sit on the seat and push the throttle and it will start to go and slowly accellerate up to full speed for him. If I sit on the quad (200 lb), it will not accellerate. I have to walk along it and then jump on it after it gets going. It will then accellerate up to full speed. No Power. Why???

Next, we took the carb apart, cleaned it, and put it back together. We did not notice and dirt or residue in the carb. Seemed real clean. We also cleaned and oiled the air filter.

Any ideas why we are not getting any power???

engbrian,

Try adjusting the valves. Run a search, there have been many post on the subject. I'm sure more will post with the valve adjustment specs.

Good Luck.

SB.

Had this problem with my Redcat 150 cc checked this form and found a hint to check for vacum leaks between carb and motor realined and retightened everything and that fixed it.

SEADAWG,
My son has had the machine for about 9 months. I would guess that there is 50 - 80 hours on it.

NITROX,
Thank you for the advice. We were very careful when putting the carb back together and back on the machine. We will look at it more closely to see if we missed something. Is there anything in particular we should look for? It will be next weekend before I am back in town and can take a look at it.
Thanx.
