Anyone else got one of these things? Are there restrictors in the exhaust or intake? I've had it 2 days and already been looking for a little more power out of it. Anyone do anything with the hand brakes to make them more kid friendly?

A K&N clamp on filter makes a big difference. I dont have the part number off hand but I can look for it. The stock filters on these are junk. Make sure you change the oil with a good motorcycle oil made for wet clutches. Regular oils have detergents in them and can cause premature clutch wear. Have not done anything with the brakes. I know some have heated the handles up and bent them closer the the bars so the kids can grab them easier. Make sure every once in a while you go over all the major nuts and bolts. They will loosen up unless you lock tite them. Suspension, motor steering etc...

thanks for the tips 2manytoys. I can see through the side of the plug at the bottom of the airbox too. I figured that I would get a different type of air filter for it. I also noticed that this thing floods out way easy. once it is running it starts fine but cold is a fiasco. I had to put the battery on the charger because I wore it down trying to start it. I ended up pulling out the plug and cleaning it out and blowing a bit of air into the plug hole to dry it out. Started right up then. Is there a trick to starting them. I haven't even touched the choke yet.

Thanks Bill. That's pretty much internal combustion 101. Any advise on the hard cold starts though? Right now I give it about 1/2 throttle to start it when it's warmed up. Cold though it wont do it. When I pull out the plug it is soaked with gas. We are just holding it at 1/2 and not feathering it. So I haven't tried the choke yet.
