I can't believe no one has mentioned the jets. My Dingo got hard to start and warm up, and the simple fix was to remove the jet and drill it out using a .055 drill bit. Cheap and effective. I fixed a friends ATV last weekend that was doing the same thing. Don't spend money on new carbs until you try this. Indexed drill bits are available at Harbor Freight.

I just realized this is an old post but anyway. The reason that manual choke carb worked is cause it is a different (new carb). The jets are the problem not the choke just like you said. Cleaning them won't matter if they are too small to begin with.
