Default looking to buy a 50 cc quad, poss eton

Ive been looking for a while, today I came across a 2001 50cc eton, the guy will take $700.00, hes asking $800.00. He tells me he was told by a dealer its worth $1100.00

Someone here at my job says stay away from eton, what do u guys think?

I already own one and have had some issues with it, but over-all I think its been ok.

Opinions?

Dan

i just check the nada guides it shows 1 50 cc atv a axl-lighting 50cc low retail is $670 average retail $880, sounds like $700 a good price if its in decent shape.

I own the05 Viper 70 and have had no problems. It is 5+ years old though, depends on how many hours are on it. I looked at an older Eton at the local Honda shop and they love the quads and have little to no problems with them...

He tells me it only back yard use, low hours, and it is very clean,I saw it. Im gonna go check it out tomorrow.

My friend bought one for his son 1.5 years ago, a 2000 model, and paid $1000.00, also an eton, said he's had no problem with it.
