Hi guys have a redcat falcon 90 for grandson has run perfect for months at present it has started loosing spark have let it run stop and start several times fine then next tim no spark for sometimes hours then in same position just turn on switch kill not moved still in run position will have spark wil run as long as not cut off may start again may not have checked stator by turning on light switchwhile cranking lights pulse as required,,ohm out coil with white wire disconnected shows 1 ohn as listed in forum checked cdi white wire disconected black to ground blue white to positive reading 128 ,,not sure about this checked kill switch ,,ok,,checked kill on left side from stator switch ,,ok suspect cdi any advice would be greatly appreciated new plug ngk,,,,,---------------------Granpaw

 

ok you guys no help so did it hard way remember i had a weird reading on the cdi module ordered a new one got it today hooked up dig meter and ran test on old no spark hs has been unhooked cdi plug pluged in new and cranked first hit ----------------------------repaired--------------------------- perfect every time so far hope this helps someone else enjoy reading this forum makes good sence enjoy-granpaw10-aka,,,jlb

I amexperiencing the same problem with an atv I bought for my grandson. Starts up no problem runs for 2 3 mi9n. and stops cold. Haas to sit for awhile then starts up again no problem runs for 2 3 min stops again....acontinual problem. If I put a screwdriver into the spark plug wire when it is cool you get quite a jolt. When it stops there is no spark in the wire..reminds me of a coil.

Here is my dileema.

I bought it on line Seller assured me he was setting up a web site for parts ...checked the site under construction and then 2 months later site and seller gone. my problem. So parts are basically unavailable.. I am thinking I can order the part you purchased (name of parts sttore) and use it or modify it for my ATV . I have a 100cc 2 stroke MaxFine. A mech. that is helping me has indicated that some of these boxs have 6 wires some have 5...Will that be a problem?


Hope you can help if not anyone out there have a slution so we can modify this control box.
