Help me start my Sunl 50?????
#1
I have owned my Sunl 50 since Christmas and have had little trouble. It has always started. The other day I was letting it warm up for my 5 year old when my 2 year old pulled the kill switch on the back. I have not been able to start it since. It is getting gas and spark but won't fire up. I even put a little gas in the spark plug and got it to sputter but not start. I also unhooked the kill switch wire but did not help either. If it is getting gas and spark shouldn't it try to fire up??? Help!!!

I know it sounds weird but if you have fuel and you have spark but still wont start it sounds like a valve or carb problem.Pulling the kill switch had nothing to do with this but just a fluke thing. This is the most common problem with the 50cc motors.

I experienced the same problem with my granddaughters Durabull 50cc 2 stroke. Was running poorly the last time we used it, went to start it up a few days later and it would not start. Had fuel and Spark but would not start. I sprayed some Starting fluid and finally got it to start, but then I noticed some debris all over the floor behind the quad. I removed the exhaust and it started right away. Knocked out the pipe with a hammer and blew it out with compressed air. some crap came out of it, appeared to be baffle material. Appears the muffler and tailpipe was clogged. Noticed the exhaust manifold gasket is blown out also indicating the muffler was probably plugged . Starts right up now everytime. But i was sure scratchin my head there for a while.
