Default Need help finding best 4 wheeler for son

Our 6 year old son has a 70cc from wicked rocket. We are looking to get him a new 4 wheeler as he is getting way to small for the 70. He is an excellent rider for a 6 year old kid. I guess I'm just looking for any input on probably a 90cc. We are looking for something that will be rode hard and not something he will just be tooling around in. My husband and I have been looking at the yamaha 80, kazuma 90, and the eton 90. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Stay away from the Yamaha 80, it was not designed to please aggressive riders. There are many better models out there IMO. The E-tons are nice, and have many nice features to them. They seem to be a bit smaller than some of the other 90's to, so they might fit your 6 y/o better than other models. How much were you looking to spend? New or used?

Scooters right about the Yamaha. I feel it is durable and dependable but nothing but a glorified yard machine.
6 yrs and the 70 is small???????? How big is he?
Stick with the bigger named tiawanese machines ie: LT80-Kasea-Eton- Extreme-Aasco.
Personally, if I was to buy a new one, it'd be a dual a-arm model. Aasco or extreme. Might as well get what you need the first time.

Well he will be 7 in October but he is pretty tall and slender. We are basically looking to spend up to $3000 and probably a new. How dependible are the LT80-Kasea-Eton- Extreme-Aasco. The 70 we have from WR has to be worked on almost every time we take it out to ride. It is a real big pain in the butt and our son gets extremly annoyed.

rtoyz... how much does your son weight and how tall is he.... just trying to get an idea size wise from the pictures...

Well people race the suzuki lt80 so that must be one of the best ones. And the honda trx90 would be a good dependable quad too.

Lisab10977,

All I have to say is Desert Cat90!!!! This is an awsome quad. It will take abuse. They race these all over the place. My son is 8yo and about 80lbs and I have not has one lick of a problem. They have tons of power to pull a 225lb adult about 40mph.The suspension is soft but adjustable front and rear. You can beat these anywhere for the price and they are up there with the name brands. Look at RAceway website. They have them there. This is not chinese cheepo. If you say you can spend some money for something good you wont have to spennd too much with this one

I also just got off the phone with the peoples over at Hetrick Racing and it seems that most
of their parts are quite Unison friendly. I plan on getting the carb and pipe upgrade over the winter. Gonna go for tires and wheels now and some wheel spacers and maybe later on get the extended +3 A-Arms and shocks all around. I'm sure he'll end up busting the swing arm by
next year the way he rides so I am sure that will be added as well later on.

Just my opinion, but is there all that much of a difference from 70 to 90cc? Why not go w/ a 125cc model and then from there you can get him a 250. Just turn down the throttle a lil bit on the 125. This way you wont have to buy a 125 when he outgrows the 90. My $.02
