i just serviced one for a guy. nice quad. a few things i noticed that you may check or change. the one i worked on had a rev limiter in the cdi so i changed the cdi to a no rev limit unit. i hear some are coming from the dealers with the no rev limit cdi but it would be good to check this out. also the rims weigh a ton expecially the front 100 inch, change to aluminum and i bet you would loose about 30 pounds. the rear tires are to big and heavy. put some snow hogs on it and sell the klaws to a big quad rider.

i took the oil injection off,and removed the gear . i had to tune the carb to make it run but it helped alot. It wasnt getting enough fuel with the dust cover off without getting a bigger jet. 16in snow hogs on rear and itp hole shots on front,ac nerf bars . it will run with other stock 90.

yeah we took those big tires off the rear n put 16 shredder R/A tires on there. we also went with the AC pro peg nerfs. I would love to change those heavy steel wheels but with the rules at the local track they have to stay stock. Im looking to change to holeshot 19 on the front but cant see spendin the money when the stock tires are descent. there just a little to tall at 20 in. we also went with some renthal grips the stock ones are junk. Its hard to beleave tht this thing is a 50 when you see it on the track. My son when we bought this thing kept saying (I want monster energy stickers) so ilooked n looked to find nothing so i bought a set on EBAY for a CRF 50 n they fit perfect even the fender stickers fit on the nose peice perfect.

check your rules, most allow after market wheels some just dont allow any more than stock offset.

We have the 06 and just started messing with the intake ...

We removed the metal intake tube and pulled the mud cover off the red filter (it is made of 3 pieces...The outer mud cover comes off leaving the filter held together by a cage) and mounted it directly to the carb.

The auto injector oil is Motul which we have had great success with.

Also added carbon fiber reeds and moved the clip down 1 notch on the needle and changed the main jet to a 115 which i thought was going to be rich, but it doesn't look that way. I also turned the air screw out about 1/2 to 3/4 turn to let more air in(seemed to help a lot).

Snow Hogs and Douglas wheels provided some traction and reduced weight

It really woke the quad up......

Our home is in Florida in case the jetting was of interest to anyone.

Most of the time at Seminole, but we do occassionally take the trip to Bartow and/or Dade City. We raced the last quad points night at Bartow....

We live in West Palm so it is a bit of ride to either of those tracks!!

We also changed the grips(thinner material) and added a thumb throttle extender.....Both offer very minor differences, but little hands can use all the help they can get....

The thumb extender help him reach full throttle with his hands still in a decent position on the grips...

Orange with a bulldog on the gas tank......

Do you have the skull graphics on yours? if so then we met.....I have the shaved head and the tattoo sleeves....I am fairly easy to remember most of the time....

I tried to talk to the other DRX owners to get some insight on them.....I have a ton of experience on the KFX, but the DRX is still new to me

So far I love the quad...A great value for sure.....the 07s seem to be an even better value with the dual a arms and disc brakes all the way around...

That front end was the same that was going to be used on their 250s (never went into production)
